She had moved to Gilmer, Texas from Natchitoches, Louisiana to live with her mother and step-father.
She had been attending Gilmer High School (home of the Buckeyes) and was in her senior year at the time of her disappearance. She also had a known on-again-off-again boyfriend, Christoper "Chris" Michael Denton.
